afterSundays Community Guidelines

Our community

afterSundays exists to help Christian singles meet in real life and build meaningful connections rooted in shared faith.

We want every Thursday dinner to feel welcoming, respectful, safe, and comfortable. That means treating each person at your table with the dignity, kindness, honesty, and respect we believe should characterize a Christian community.

These guidelines apply to your profile, your activity on afterSundays, your dinners, and interactions with people you meet through our community.

You don’t have to feel a connection with everyone you meet. You do have to treat everyone well.

Serious or repeated violations may result in cancelled bookings, warnings, suspension, or permanent removal from afterSundays. Where someone’s safety may be at risk, we may take additional appropriate action.

Who can join

18+ only. You must be at least 18 years old to use afterSundays.

Christian singles. afterSundays is intentionally built for single Christians who genuinely identify with the Christian faith. You don’t need to belong to a particular denomination, but you should be joining in good faith and understand the community you’re entering.

Be genuinely single. Members must not be married or knowingly involved in an exclusive romantic relationship.

Be yourself. Use your real name, age, photos, and information. Fake profiles, impersonation, intentionally misleading information, and multiple accounts aren’t allowed.

Use recent photos. Your profile should clearly and accurately represent you. Don’t use another person’s photos or heavily alter images in a way that misrepresents your appearance.

How we treat each other

Lead with respect. Treat the people you meet with kindness and dignity, even when there isn’t romantic chemistry.

Respect boundaries. Interest is never an entitlement to someone else’s attention, affection, contact information, or another date. If someone isn’t interested, respect their decision.

No sexual harassment or inappropriate behaviour. Unwanted sexual comments, explicit content, inappropriate touching, repeated advances, or other sexual misconduct are not permitted.

No harassment or intimidation. Bullying, threatening, stalking, humiliating, aggressively confronting, or repeatedly contacting someone who has asked you to stop may result in removal.

No hate or discrimination. Racist, degrading, threatening, or dehumanizing treatment of another person is not welcome. Christian conviction is never an excuse to humiliate, threaten, or mistreat another person.

Keep conversations respectful. Faith, relationships, politics, and personal values can lead to meaningful conversations. Disagreement is okay. Personal attacks, hostility, and attempts to shame or demean someone are not.

Come with the right intentions

afterSundays is a dating community, not a marketplace or networking event.

Don’t use dinners to recruit customers, sell products, solicit money, promote investment opportunities, aggressively recruit for organizations, or repeatedly promote your own business, social media, church, or cause.

Scams, fraud, requests for money, deceptive behaviour, and attempts to financially exploit another member may result in immediate removal.

Thursday dinner etiquette

Show up. Six people are intentionally selected for each table. One person’s absence changes the experience for everyone.

If you can’t attend, cancel within the cancellation period shown when you book.

Repeated no-shows or last-minute cancellations may restrict your ability to book future dinners.

Your seat is yours. Don’t bring a friend, date, or +1. Everyone at the table has been individually matched.

Be on time. Arrive at the restaurant at the time provided so everyone can begin the experience together.

Be present. Put the phone away when you can, participate in the conversation, and give everyone at the table a chance to speak.

Be considerate. You may naturally connect with one person more than another, but the dinner is a shared experience. Don’t exclude, embarrass, or disrespect other members of the table.

After the dinner

Chemistry isn’t guaranteed, and that’s okay.

After dinner, you’ll privately tell us if you’d like to connect with someone from your table. Your choice remains private unless the interest is mutual.

If you both choose each other, you’ll have the opportunity to connect.

If the interest isn’t mutual, respect the outcome. Don’t pressure another guest to reveal who they selected, ask other attendees to intervene, or repeatedly pursue someone outside afterSundays.

A match means there is mutual interest in connecting — not consent to anything beyond that. Continue to respect each other’s boundaries as you get to know one another.

Safety

Threats, violence, stalking, sexual misconduct, exploitation, illegal activity, or behaviour that reasonably puts another member’s safety at risk are prohibited.

Illegal drugs, weapons, or other dangerous or unlawful activity have no place at an afterSundays dinner.

Don’t knowingly share another member’s private information, messages, photos, phone number, or personal details without their permission.

If something happens during or after an afterSundays experience that makes you feel unsafe, please report it to us.

If there is an immediate danger, contact local emergency services.

Reporting concerns

We want to know when something happens that could affect the safety or integrity of the community.

You can report inappropriate behaviour, harassment, misrepresentation, safety concerns, scams, repeated no-shows, or other violations through afterSundays.

Reports should be made in good faith. Knowingly submitting false reports to retaliate against another member is itself a violation of these guidelines.

Enforcement

Depending on the circumstances, violations may result in a warning, cancellation of upcoming dinners, booking restrictions, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from afterSundays.

Serious safety concerns may result in immediate suspension while we review the situation.

We may also take action when credible information indicates that someone’s behaviour could create a meaningful safety risk to other members.

One simple rule

Treat people like people, not profiles.

Come with good intentions. Be honest. Be kind. Respect boundaries. Show up when you say you will.

We’re here to create something dating apps have made surprisingly difficult: a place where Christian singles can put down their phones, sit across from one another, and genuinely get to know someone.

Welcome to afterSundays.
